Operation Smile Vietnam

Cleft lips and palates are caused generally poor diet, alcohol, drugs and cigarettes use by expectant mothers. However in Vietnam experts are also examining a correlation between these birth deformities and mothers' exposure to Agent Orange during the war. 15,000 children await the corrective surgery to help them breathe and eat better. They cost US$75, a month and a half's salary for average Vietnamese.
