Rawalpindi, Pakistan with Assistant Secretary of State Richard Boucher and the US Ambassador Ann Paterson.

- Meeting with Pakistani Defence Minister Chaudhry Ahmad Mukhtar Minister wants Pakistani sovereignty respected.

- Meeting with President Asif Ali Zardari

Zadari not happy with attacks by drones carried out by US military planes on tribal areas within Pakistan to weed out a-Qaeda.

"Continuing drone attacks on our territory, which result in loss of precious lives and property, are counterproductive and difficult to explain by a democratically elected government."

At least 19 attacks have been carried out, including one which killed 20 people four days ago.

Petraeus to CNN : he will consider the criticism relayed by the Pakistani leadership.
